Community Signature Events 2022
The goal of Chamber events is to share Ripon with visitors and friends – welcoming them to experience our lively city and friendly people. While these community “celebrations” take months to plan with help from many Chamber members, each draws hundreds of visitors to the Ripon area for shopping, dining, outdoor adventures and area attractions.
POLKA ON ICE
Saturday, February 19, 2022 – 12 P.M. TO 4 P.M.
Bring your family and friends to downtown Ripon’s Polka on Ice. We will have American polka music from Copper Box, handcrafted artisan beer, a tent with heaters, and a corn hole toss.
The event takes place outdoors at the Village Green, which is private property owned by Ripon Main Street, Inc. The park is located in the 400 block of Watson Street at the south end of the downtown historic district. Please dress appropriately.
For the safety of our visitors, volunteers and merchants, we ask that you please adhere to proper social distancing recommended guidelines.
DOWNTOWN RIPON SPRING WINE WALK
Friday, April 22 2022 5:30 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M.
The Downtown Ripon Spring WineWalk is scheduled to take place from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday, April 22nd. Limited tickets will be available through Eventbrite beginning February 1st. The event will feature a selection of wines from around the world. Attendees may sample up to sixteen (16) different wines throughout the evening. Participating businesses include: … Check back for updates. Numerous businesses will be open late during the event to provide you with an adequate dose of shopping therapy. WOMEN ON WATSON
Saturday April 30 2022 10:00 A.M. TO 5:00 A.M.
Join us as we celebrate Women on Watson 2022, in Historic Downtown Ripon, Wisconsin! Our annual day of retail therapy and shopping at participating businesses along Watson Street. Several local shops will be providing deals, a fashion walkabout, and other promotions throughout the day for Women on Watson attendees!
#WOW2022 is shaping up to be a fun-filled day of socializing, shopping, and dining. In addition to the retail activities and events, a special kick-off lite continental breakfast is offered to the first 50 participants that sign up through Eventbrite. Participants and businesses will be notified via email where folks will begin their day. At your assigned business you will be provided with a bagged continental breakfast, bottled water, and your WOW2022 swag bag.
2022 CITYWIDE RUMMAGE SALES

SCOOPING THE LOOP & MOVIE
Saturday, August 06 2022 5:00 P.M. TO 10:30 P.M.
“Scooping the Loop” was a time-honored tradition for many Riponites. For decades, local residents came together to drive their vehicles through historic downtown Ripon, Wisconsin, and meet up with friends. Many great memories and lifelong relationships were created during this unique social gathering. For various reasons, the activity was banned from our community in 1992. All traffic laws will be strictly enforced. NO Burnouts!
CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE 2022
November 11 & November 12
Kick off the holiday season and discover Ripon, Wisconsin’s unique shops and restaurants during the annual Christmas in the Village event, which takes place on Friday and Saturday, November 11-12, 2022. Those strolling up and down the sidewalks will find unique gifts, clothing, jewelry, furniture, and more.
Friday night activities include a visit by Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Village Green located at the corner of Watson and Seward Street in downtown Ripon and carriage rides through the historic district. Santa is scheduled to arrive in downtown Ripon at approximately 6:00 pm, guided into the district aboard the Ripon Fire Department ladder truck. Santa will light the decorations on the bandstand and greet those in attendance.
Activities planned for Saturday include a visit by Santa & Mrs. Claus and a Live Reindeer Display. Activities take place outdoors. Please dress appropriately.
