This is your chance to Shop Local, and Shop Ripon.  Enjoy our unique shops as they are dressed for the season in Holiday splendor.  Many of our great locations have extended shopping hours during the Holiday season.  While you’re shopping, be sure to snap a picture of the Ripon store you’re in, a selfie with some merchandise, or a shopkeeper.  Share your pictures on the Ripon Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, tag us and use the hashtag #ShopRipon2021, or email info@ripon-wi.com for a chance to win one of five $100 Chamber Dollars.  Pictures will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. January 4, 2022.

American Legion Hall, 113 E. Fond du Lac Street – Drive Up Only
Includes 22oz chili with crackers and dinner roll for $7 with proceeds to the Ripon Food Pantry.

Dickens Holiday Parade
6:30 p.m.
Downtown Ripon
Enjoy this lighted Holiday Parade featuring area floats, musical groups, local businesses, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus.  In addition, enjoy the many unique shopping opportunities and wonderful dining choices available that night!  The parade will begin at the intersection of Watson & Thorne streets, continue North down Watson St., and finish at the intersection of Watson & Fond du Lac Streets.  Parade entries will exit the parade down Fond du Lac St. to the East.

Ripon Area Community Theatre presents “A Christmas Carol” Radio Play
7:30 p.m.
Ripon City Hall Council Chambers
Watch a live radio play of the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol” presented by Ripon Area Community Theatre actors.  Admission for the live performances is $10 per person; children 12 and under are free.  Tickets can be purchased in advance at the courtesy counter at Webster’s Marketplace and at the door. Masks are not required in City Hall but are recommended.  The RACT radio play production of “A Christmas Carol” is sponsored by Fotifi Bank and the Ripon Noon Kiwanis Club. The Friday night performance will be broadcast live on 93.1 FM & AM 1600 The Wave and also on The Ripon Channel’s YouTube page.

Mr. & Mrs. P’s Restaurant –  1100 W. Fond du Lac Street
Kids of all ages may enjoy Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus Saturday, Dec. 4 at Mr. & Mrs. P’s Eatery, 1100 W. Again, the event you’ve all been waiting for ~ Our annual Dickens of a Christmas Craft & Vendor event! Stop on down to the Plaza Bowl to see what you can find for yourself or get your Christmas shopping done. No waiting for shipments to come in here! Many new and exciting vendors again. We will have hand sanitizer at the entrance for people to use and we are making every effort to space accordingly.

Artisan Marketplace

Just in time to finish, or begin your Christmas shopping!  With cooler weather arriving, all vendors will be located in our Great Room, making your shopping very convenient!

Christmas OPEN HOUSE
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church – 217 Houston St.
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Ripon is having a Chicken Booyah and Baklava sale as part of the Dickens of a Christmas festival on Saturday, Dec. 4. Fresh, hot Chicken Booyah will be ready to be picked up starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 until sold out at St. Peter’s parking lot located at 217 Houston Street. Homemade Baklava, a traditional Turkish dessert made by Mother Ezgi, the priest of the Parish, will also be available for purchase.  Along with the sale of Booyah and Baklava, St. Peter’s Parish invites everyone to a Christmas Open House from 1-3 p.m. with tours of the sanctuary. There will also be space for private prayer and meditation. St. Peter’s is Ripon’s oldest house of worship in continuous use. The congregation was formed in 1860 and the church was built in the American version of the Gothic style often referred to as “Carpenter Gothic.” Statues throughout the church were carved by German immigrants and the altar stone comes from the Cathedral in Ripon, England. The church will be decorated for the Christian season of Advent.

Live windows depicting our theme “ A Christmas Carol”   Watch as Windows come alive with scenes from your favorite holiday story.  Enjoy music, visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Village Green, take a horse and carriage ride, see live reindeer, view a live Nativity scene, and so much more.  Create new family traditions and make a holiday memory that will last forever.
