Community Signature Events 2020

The goal of Chamber events is to share Ripon with visitors and friends – welcoming them to experience our lively city and friendly people. While these community “celebrations” take months to plan with help from many Chamber members, each draws hundreds of visitors to the Ripon area for shopping, dining, outdoor adventures and area attractions.

COOKIE DAZE 2020 – CANCELLED

As organizers of Ripon’s Cookie Daze event, we have been closely monitoring the ever-evolving COVID-19 crisis. Based on the high degree of uncertainty about what the coming months will hold; and after consulting health officials and local community groups; and in the best interest of the general public, our volunteers, vendors, and the non-profit groups that are involved, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this summer’s 25th Annual Cookie Daze (scheduled for August 1, 2020). This is the time of year when organizers would typically be making critical decisions about programming and purchasing, and be pursuing financial, in-kind, and volunteer support from local individuals, businesses and nonprofit groups. During this public health crisis, when our entire community is under such an intense strain, it does not feel feasible, or even conscionable, to request such commitments. The Cookie Daze committee and Ripon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will continue to discuss the event moving forward.  The Ripon Chamber supports over 150 businesses members, and is the host of the Cookie Daze Festival.   We strongly encourage our many fans, supporters and community to find ways to continue to support these wonderful organizations and businesses in the months ahead.

WINE WALK – CANCELLED

Friday August 07 5:30 P.M. TO 8:30 P.M.

Downtown Ripon Summer WineWalk Postponed

The Ripon Chamber of Commerce and Ripon Main Street, Inc. have made the difficult decision to postpone the Downtown Ripon Summer WineWalk due to concerns regarding COVID-19. The event is being moved to Friday, August 6, 2021.

We were hopeful to host the WineWalk as an outdoor event, but we realized that meeting recommendations for social distancing and hosting large scale events would be difficult if not impossible for this event which attracts upwards of 500 people from across the state. The health and wellbeing of our patrons and businesses is our top priority. We sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support during this trying time.

Tickets for this event will be honored for the rescheduled date in 2021, and refunds are available.

We are extremely grateful for the assistance and support of our sponsor, Brad Tagliapietra American Family Insurance, as well as all of the businesses that agreed to host the the wine tasting stations. We look forward to working with you all in 2021. Please check back for updates which will be posted to this page as they develop.
